Green light for HVO at filling stations too

The Federal Council has approved the amendment to the 10th Federal Immission Control Ordinance. This means that the sale of synthetic HVO 100 diesel fuel will also be permitted at public filling stations.

HVO diesel is produced from vegetable residues and waste materials, such as cooking oils and fats from the food industry. The renewable synthetic diesel can be used pure, but can also be mixed with conventional diesel - without any adjustments to the vehicle or engine. Compared to fossil diesel, HVO is characterized by CO2 savings of up to 90%.

Oest already has many years of experience with HVO and supplies municipalities and companies with the renewable diesel fuel. Under the Oest Oecopower D brand, customers can also obtain HVO fuel in container fillings, for example for diesel generators, boat engines, construction equipment and machinery. The fact that Oest can now also offer HVO in its pure form at its AVIA filling stations is another important milestone that contributes directly to CO2 reduction.
